Hina Syed is a program officer at Panorama, where she supports partners on strategy development and strategic communications for a variety of projects, including outbreak preparedness and nutrition. She uses evidence-based approaches to develop effective messages, strategies, and programs that increase knowledge and influence behavior change. Hina is dedicated to using the transformative nature of storytelling to empower communities and achieve social impact goals.
In her prior experience, Hina developed communication, outreach, and engagement strategies at the United States Agency for International Development, where she supported the Feed the Future initiative. Her work efforts focused on transparency, engaging stakeholders, creating innovative content, and increasing awareness for promoting sustainable change. In addition, Hina worked on several communications for development and entertainment education projects with the University of California, Los Angeles, Columbia University, and UNICEF.
Hina holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Franklin & Marshall College. She also served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer in the Southern Region.
Before Hina adopted her dog Bug, he participated in the 2016 Oscars red carpet.
