Shivani is a Portfolio Manager in the Social Impact Department. In this role, she manages a diverse portfolio of fiscally sponsored projects to ensure high-impact support for social entrepreneurs, change agents, and funders.
Shivani brings 8 years of experience across sectors, including education, nonprofit, policy, and philanthropy. Shivani’s most meaningful professional experiences include being an elementary educator, partnering with local communities and universities to increase access to post-secondary opportunities for first-generation immigrant youth, and most recently, leading the development of the Cleveland Foundation’s first strategic approach to investing in sustainable and proactive systems for the city’s immigrants and refugees. Shivani's commitment to advancing equity is rooted in her personal background as an Indian immigrant.
Shivani earned her Master in Policy Management from Georgetown University, Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Hispanic Studies from the University of Tennessee. In her spare time, Shivani finds joy in traveling to new places, learning family recipes, and spending sunny days on patios. She is based in Chicago.
