Suzie has managed complex organizations in Washington, DC, for more than a decade. Her expertise lies in building cross-functional structures, formulating engagement strategies, aligning stakeholders, and securing resources to advance foreign policy and international development goals.
As executive director of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), which oversees the Voice of America and four other international media networks, she led outreach to Congress, the executive branch, and non-governmental organizations. She also served as chief of staff to the BBG chairman and CEO, and worked to align programmatic and operational priorities across its global enterprise. At the Peace Corps, where she won a Distinguished Service Award, she managed legislative strategy and outreach to U.S. policymakers as director of government relations.
Suzie holds a masters in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a bachelor of arts in political science and government from the University of California, Los Angeles.
