Creating an organized, managed collaboration between funders—a “donor collaborative”—has proven to be a powerful mechanism for philanthropies to have greater impact than they would alone.
The following report provides insights to inform donors as they seek to collaborate with others and increase their impact. These learnings are synthesized into three “Keys to Success” for developing and sustaining successful donor collaboratives:
The report draws on Panorama’s experience creating and managing donor collaboratives. Panorama also gathered learnings from interviews with successful donor groups, and conducted a landscape review of publications detailing the opportunities and challenges found in existing donor collaborations.
