Mark has helped global companies and organizations build relationships with their customers and stakeholders through innovative and creative storytelling. At Microsoft, Mark led global communications for several initiatives across cybersecurity, intellectual property rights, data privacy and protection of children and seniors. Before Microsoft, Mark led international communications for Starbucks, focusing on new country openings, executive communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility, including fair trade, clean water, and community giving.
Prior to working at Microsoft and Starbucks, Mark held various public relations roles in Greater China and the United States, including leading Ogilvy’s public relations operations in Taiwan.
Mark holds a Master of Arts in international policy studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Mark speaks Mandarin Chinese and a little German.
